Capacitor Bank Organizer

The CBO (Capacitor Bank Organizer) is a software tool, designed to fulfil the technical needs for support, when capacitors and its apparatus are involved for troubleshooting or commissioning capacitor banks. The main characteristics are as follow:

2. "Fast Track" balancing function
When outage time is the essence, this function will allow a much faster re-balance of a defective capacitor bank in using some capacitor group measurement data and a few capacitor units' data.

3. Initial balance calculation function
Allows balancing for a capacitor bank that needs to be constructed from loose capacitor units. This program will supply the mounting instructions for the capacitors to be placed in the bank while it will provide a balanced bank impedance.

4. Signal unbalance calculation function
This function will provide to the user technical data related to the protection setting such as alarm and trip signal values for protection co-ordination purposes.

5. Capacitor bank parameter calculation function
Other information such as current, voltage and capacitance values will be provided to get a full picture of the bank evolution when capacitor units start failing. All these values are calculated based on the capacitor bank user input.

6. Data recording function
Allows the recording of data, comments or events related to the capacitor bank during the use of the CBO software. These data could become your historical data files and can be easily accessed through the software or any type of text program.

The CBO is designed to accommodate most of the database input in the market. It is also designed to handle the three major capacitor technologies named Externally Fused, Internaly Fused and Fuseless as well as most of the capacitor bank configuration and protection scheme identified in the IEEE 1036.
